Be Safe Stay Safe, led by Leonard Cheshire Disability, helps disabled people in Northern Ireland feel safer in their homes and in their communities.

The project is funded through the Big Lottery Fund's Safe and Well Programme. Be Safe Stay Safe is aimed at:

  • Disabled people living in Northern Ireland
  • Families, carers and friends
  • Voluntary, community and statutory organisations
  • Paid staff in a supporting role

Training

Be Safe Stay Safe provides an innovative and interactive training programme, completely free of charge. This training has been developed with disabled people and will develop participants’ awareness of staying safe at home and out‘n’about in the community.
